How it all began
Hey, I’m Lena Barber — the girl behind the camera.
Originally from Ukraine, now based in Lincolnshire, UK. I’ve always been drawn to creative things, from music and art to interior design. Photography has become another way for me to express that creativity and connect with people.
My creative journey has taken a few different turns. At 17, I dreamed of becoming a composer. A few years later, I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and went on to work in interior design, eventually directing an interior design studio.
When the war began in Ukraine, I moved to the UK and started a completely new chapter. Along the way, I found my way back to creativity. Photography was something I had wanted to explore for years, but kept putting off because it felt like a big risk. Eventually, I decided to give it a chance, and I’m so glad I did.
My approach
I love photographing people as they really are. Nothing too forced or overly posed. Just genuine moments, natural emotions and photographs that feel like you.
I want the experience to be about more than simply having your pictures taken. From choosing your outfit and finding the right location to enjoying the time itself, I want you to feel comfortable, relaxed and special throughout.
